Broad Oak Learning and Development

Here at Broad Oak Events we strive to deliver an event to suit your specific needs and never more so when it comes to Learning and Development. We are able to deliver an event tailored to your needs in order for you to gain maximum benefit from the event.

The activities are all fully mobile and can be carried out at suitable venues throughout the UK. With a range of both indoor and outdoor activities there is always something to suit all ages and abilities.

At Broad Oak we view Learning & Development in a number of different ways and offer an operating package to suit you.

All of our development packages can be operated to generate a wide spectrum of outcomes from just a bit of fun to aid team bonding right through to in depth analysis of team performance.

We can deliver events in the following ways:

  • Working alongside your own training team to deliver activities and instruction (Your trainer delivers the key messages and we facilitate the activities)

  • We deliver and facilitate the event following your specific event objectives

  • Specialist facilitation provided to cover specific training methods such as Belbin, Myers Briggs etc…

Brief Activity Details

We have a wide range of small interactive team building simulation activities which can be added to enhance a training programme or tailored to deliver specific objective messages. These include:

Bridge Build

You are returning from patrol when you find that the bridge on the border has been destroyed. The river is in flood, but the bridge supports are still above the water. You must cross the river with 3 short planks, none of which are long enough.

Cascade

Two barrels are suspended on pullies from a tower, one is heavier than the other and so hangs lower. Water must be added to the higher barrel to allow the barrels to hang equally. There are limited resources available to fill the barrel and access restrictions will apply.

Plan Puzzle

Arrange the planks of wood, so that they match the plan provided, sounds easy - but its not. The problem is one half of the team have the plan and the other has the pieces.
