Field Sports

Broad Oak Events have a number of specialised outdoor Field Sports activities to suit all ages and abilities

The activities can all be run as either a stand alone event or as part of a Multi Activity event.

Professional instruction and supervision is provided with all activities to allow participants to get the most out of their activity time.

Each activity allows the opportunity for a practise before the participants compete in a friendly competition. A small trophy is provided for the best performer on each activity.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Using 12 bore shot guns and live ammunition, participants are fully instructed in the skills of clay pigeon shooting so that they are taught to shoot properly and safely. The fully qualified professional instructors commence with detailed individual instruction and assessment for the first period. Additional instruction is then given to those who need it. After the initial period of instruction and practise, participants shoot in a competition, with points given for every clay pigeon hit. Every shot fired is Individually 'one to one' instructed.

Crossbow and Crossbow Pistol Shooting

This activity is professionally instructed and we use the most powerful crossbows, which are fitted with modern telescopic sights. This is a competitive target-shooting event, following a comprehensive programme of instruction.

Air Rifle Shooting

This activity is professionally instructed; we use the latest 10 shot bolt-action pneumatic rifles fitted with telescopic sights. Following a program, of instruction guests shoot at simulated targets with a 45mm kill zone.

Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting

Using especially adapted shotguns and the very latest in laser technology, this is a popular event when real clay pigeon shooting is not practicable. It is fully and professionally instructed to the same standard as live clay shooting. A wide variety of different targets can be presented and hits are automatically recorded on a large electronic display. We are now able to arrange the very latest night shooting system, using luminous clay pigeons.

Target Archery

Traditional archery shooting at colour banded bosses, at a set range. Powerful, modern bows are used and qualified coaches instruct throughout this event. Having being taught the basic skills, participants have practise (under supervision) before commencing competitive events.

Falconry

A very different experience and the chance to fly and handle these beautiful birds. A detailed insight into this ancient sport by expert falconers that will educate and delight you.
